know your numbers

i’m scheduled
See what motivates your colleagues from across Chevron to take care of their health.
Your numbers provide a snapshot of your overall health and can help identify the warning signs of many serious illnesses. You should have your numbers checked at least once per year, including:
- Height (without shoes)
- Weight (without shoes)
- Waist circumference
- Blood pressure
- Cholesterol (total, LDL, HDL, triglycerides)
- Blood glucose (blood sugar)
need to get your numbers?
There are several options to get your numbers checked. Here are some ideas.
visit a chevron health clinic, health station, or fitness center
If your Chevron worksite has a health clinic, a health station, or a fitness center, you can visit them to get a blood pressure reading or body weight measurements. Please note these locations can provide blood pressure readings, body weight and BMI only; they cannot provide blood tests or other screenings. In addition, many U.S. pharmacies or grocery stores have automated blood pressure machines.
visit a health station
Visit a health station to obtain measurements about your personal health. The measurements include:
- Blood pressure
- Heart rate
- Weight
- Body mass index

go to an onsite chevron fitness centers
Chevron has on-site fitness facilities at our larger work locations. You'll be required to join these gyms and pay a membership fee, just as you would at any other local gym. Chevron fitness centers also provide a broad range of illness and injury prevention training, health education and exercise opportunities. Some locations also offer massage therapy (available to non-members, too). Learn more (intranet access only).
use your medical plan preventive care benefit
All of Chevron's medical benefit plans have a preventive care benefit for all enrolled participants, regardless of age. In general, preventive care visits usually include a blood test to screen your cholesterol and glucose levels. These visits also usually include taking your blood pressure. When using your benefit:
- Ask your doctor to code the visit as "preventive" to ensure your health plan accurately applies the visit to your preventive care benefit.
- Be sure to call your plan directly before your visit to ask specifically about services that are covered as part of your preventive care benefit, your costs (if any) and to verify that your doctor is a network provider.
use your numbers in your health questionnaire

When you take the voluntary health questionnaire (HQ) as part of the Healthy Heart program, you'll be asked to provide your personal numbers, including your lab tests, so it's a good idea to have them ready.
You don't need all of these numbers to take the health questionnaire or participate in the program, but you'll receive a more accurate result if you do. You can even provide them later after you've already started participating. If you've had a blood test to screen for your cholesterol and glucose within the past year, you can use those results in your health questionnaire.
If it's been over a year since you've had a blood test, consider scheduling an appointment to get your up-to-date numbers.
