Identity Protection from ID Watchdog is available for the first time effective January 1, 2025. During this initial implementation period there will be a special, temporary process for enrollment and coverage activation, as described here.

If you enroll between October 14 and December 31, 2024:

  • Your coverage is effective January 1, 2025.
  • If you enroll in 2024, there is no further action required of you until January 1, 2025.
  • On January 1, 2025, ID Watchdog will issue an email to enrolled participants with next steps to create your account and start using your coverage.
  • Payroll deductions will begin with your first paycheck in January 2025.
  • Note that you cannot enroll for this coverage on the BenefitConnect website, however your coverage status will display on your coverage confirmation statement (online and by paper). Your coverage status will indicate no coverage until early January after the HR Service Center has processed your election and updated your confirmation statement. If you need to verify coverage in the interim, contact Mercer Voluntary Benefits.
