Healthy You in partnership with Virgin Pulse is currently available in the following locations: Australia, Argentina, Angola, Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Honduras, Philippines, El Salvador, Guatemala, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Panama, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, United Kingdom, Venezuela and Vietnam. Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan and South Korea will be added to the program in 2023.
Healthy You is a free, easy-to-use health and well-being program brought to you by Chevron in partnership with Virgin Pulse®. The program helps you develop your own unique healthy habits with engaging, personalized interactive tools. The Chevron Healthy You program is accessible online from any device connected to the internet, or through the Virgin Pulse mobile app. You can also sync your Healthy You account with several popular fitness tracking devices and other mobile applications you may already use. Your Healthy You experience will include location-specific activity challenges, team building opportunities and referrals to other local Chevron health and wellness resources.

step 1: create your account
If you don't already have an account, Virgin Pulse will reach out to you via email when it’s time to enroll. Simply follow the link in the email to create your Virgin Pulse Healthy You account. You’ll be able to set your preferences, personalize your experiences and access your locally available wellness programs and tools.

step 2: get your numbers (optional)
When you take the health assessment, you’ll be asked to provide your personal health numbers including certain lab test results, such as your blood pressure and cholesterol. Here are some ideas to get your numbers. You don’t need your numbers to take the health assessment or to participate in the Healthy You program, but you’ll receive more comprehensive results if you do.

step 3: use program resources
After you have created your account, you can use the program's resources and take part in available activities, such as completing the heart and lifestyle survey to get your scores, using digital learning modules, or synching your Healthy You account with other tracking devices or mobile apps you may use. You’ll be able to monitor your progress and watch achievement levels go up.

step 4: learn about rewards or incentives (availability varies)
When you participate in the Healthy You program and other local activities, you may be eligible to earn points toward rewards or incentives. Availability varies by location. Learn more about rewards or incentives available at your location and what you need to do to participate.

As part of the Chevron Healthy You program, you’ll have access to a free Virgin Pulse personalized website and mobile app with focused, self-selected wellness advice and content, tools and resources designed to support you in maintaining your good health and if needed, in making healthy lifestyle changes. Keep in mind that Healthy You resources or activities are not medical advice or a substitute for seeking treatment and guidance from your personal health care provider.  

In addition, when you use Healthy You program resources, you may also earn points toward rewards or incentives, if offered by your location. You can learn more about if rewards or incentives are offered at your location here.

The lifestyle and heart age survey combines two health assessments that include questions designed to assess your health across multiple areas of well-being. After you input your answers you will be provided with a heart age score and a lifestyle score along with recommendations for action. The lifestyle and heart age survey may also request you to provide certain health numbers, such as blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, height and weight. It's your choice to provide these numbers. You don't need to provide them to take the survey, but you'll receive a more comprehensive result if you do. 

Access the lifestyle and heart age survey from the top of your Programs page on your Virgin Pulse Healthy You account.
Use your mobile device to access the Healthy You program on-the-go with the Virgin Pulse mobile app. The Healthy You program must be available in your location and you must be eligible to participate to access and use the mobile app.

Information about Chevron local programs and resources - such as your Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Resilient Living and medical clinics - are available from the Programs page on your Virgin Pulse Healthy You account.

The Virgin Pulse partnership with Rethink Care provides Healthy You participants with access to three digital training modules:

  • Emotional Intelligence 101
  • Mindfulness 101
  • Yoga 101 

To access the modules, log in to your Virgin Pulse Healthy You account, go to the Programs page, then click the Start Now button for the desired module. You'll be asked to agree to the Rethink Care terms and conditions. If you are on a mobile device, you will also be directed to download the Rethink Care mobile app from iTunes or Google Play.

The Tracking page on your Virgin Pulse Healthy You account allows you to manually input and track your steps, workouts, weight, and blood pressure. 

  • With a linked device or application, you can automatically input and track your steps, workouts, active minutes, calories consumed, calories burned and sleep. 
  • You cannot track cholesterol, glucose and HbA1c without a validated import. Validated import availability will vary based upon your location.

You can link your Virgin Pulse Healthy You account with the following fitness and sleep tracking devices and mobile apps:

The information on your Profile page from your Virgin Pulse Healthy You account will be available to your friends network. 

  • You can upload a cover photo, a profile photo, create your nickname and add details about yourself. 
  • It's your choice to complete your personalization details and you control what friends are in your network. 
  • Members can search for friend suggestions and will be able to see your profile picture, name and see a tally of any mutual friends. Only accepted friends in your network will be able to see the additional information from your profile page.

To access your profile, login to your Virgin Pulse Healthy You account and hover over the circle to the far right of your screen to see the profile options. 

The social features offered by Virgin Pulse is a great way to interact with your co-workers and motivate each other. You can add other members in your network to be friends and also interact with friends and family outside the company. 

  • Friends do not have access to your complete profile or account information.
  • You can see who is in your co-worker network in the friends search feature.
  • When you add a co-worker that is a local Chevron employee as a friend, they will receive a notification on their your Virgin Pulse Healthy You account and can choose to accept your request*.
  • You can add a friend or family outside of the company** if you have their email address. 

Once a person has accepted your friend request, they will begin to display on your leaderboard and your My Friends page and you can:

  • View the information they have chosen to complete in their profile.
  • View some of their fun activity statistics, such as their most recent trophy, the number of steps earned in the last 7 days, any connected devices, and up to 6 of your friends. 
  • Invite them to participate in challenges.

*For the full employee participation experience, employees should register for their own Virgin Pulse Healthy You account and accept friend requests from their My Friends page. Do not respond to an individual friend invitation received in email.

**Chevron employees can invite up to 10 of their friends or family members outside of Chevron to participate in personal challenges they set up on their Healthy You account. Participation for friends and family is limited to the invited personal challenges only.

Challenges are designed to create healthy competition, provide a support network and ensures accountability. 

  • On the Challenges Page from your Virgin Pulse Healthy You account, you have access to create personal challenges of your own or choose one from the nine thrive areas
  • A week-long promoted healthy habit challenge will be available each month, such as encouraging healthy eating by packing a healthy snack each day.
  • From time to time team challenges will also be available. 

Friendly competition is encouraged by inviting friends to participate in the same challenges and tracking each other’s progress on the leader board. 

Chevron employees can invite up to 10 of their friends or family members outside of Chevron to participate in personal challenges they set up on their Virgin Pulse Healthy You account. Friends and family can then encourage and compete in personal challenges. Participation for friends and family is limited to the invited personal challenges only. 

Chevron employees with registered accounts may also connect with other registered members to participate in challenges and compare activities. For the full employee participation experience, employees should have their own Virgin Pulse Healthy You account and only accept friend requests from their My Friends page.

The Events Calendar on your Virgin Pulse Healthy You account is a place where local health and wellness events may be listed from time to time.

eligibility to participate

If you are an active, full-time employee whose home country has Healthy You available, you are eligible to participate. 

Healthy You in partnership with Virgin Pulse is currently available in the following locations: Australia, Angola, Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Honduras, Philippines, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Nigeria, Panama, Singapore, Thailand, United Kingdom, Venezuela. Coming in 2022, Argentina. 

Eligible employees will be notified of their eligibility to participate via an email invitation from Virgin Pulse. If you are not sure about your eligibility status, send an email to HealthyYou@Chevron.com for assistance.
If you are a Chevron employee eligible to participate in Healthy You, you can invite up to 10 of your friends or family members outside of Chevron to participate in personal challenges you set up on your Virgin Pulse Healthy You account. Friends and family can then encourage and compete with you in your personal challenges. Participation for friends and family is limited to the invited personal challenges only. 

Friends and family are not generally eligible to earn Chevron rewards or incentives that may be offered by your local program.

If you are an expatriate on a resident assignment, you are eligible to participate in the Healthy You program for your home country, if available. You are not eligible to participate in the program offered to employees in your host country. Locate other Chevron Healthy You programs here

The following are not eligible to participate in the Healthy You program in partnership with Virgin Pulse:

  • Retirees
  • Contractors
  • Professional interns
  • Employees on unapproved part-time schedules
  • Casual hires
  • Global offshore payroll employees
  • Any other individual not considered an active, full-time Chevron employee on the payroll where Healthy You is offered.
