Whether you're joining Chevron for the first time, or returning again, this is the place to start. You can enroll, complete forms, update personal information, use decision resources and learn more about Chevron benefits and programs for U.S.-payroll employees.
You will receive two enrollment packages by mail: one from the HR Service Center for your health, welfare and retirement benefits; and one from Vanguard for your retirement savings plan benefit. Depending on your situation, some of the information provided below may not apply to you. Be sure to review the Enrollment Worksheet included in your HR Service Center enrollment package for the specific benefits plans and programs that apply to you.
You have 31 days to enroll in your benefits. If you miss your 31-day enrollment deadline, you generally can't enroll or make changes until Chevron's open enrollment period each fall. See this enrollment timeline for this and other key deadlines.
In addition, all U.S.-payroll employees who are eligible for Chevron medical or supplemental life insurance coverage are required to certify their tobacco use status during the 31-day enrollment period. If you fail to certify your tobacco use status by the deadline, you'll be charged higher monthly rates for this coverage, whether or not you use tobacco. You cannot change your tobacco use status until the next open enrollment period. You'll be prompted to certify your tobacco use status when you enroll for your health and welfare benefits on the Benefits Connection website. Learn more about the tobacco surcharge.
Important 2017 Plan Updates: Your benefits package does not yet contain certain benefit updates for 2017. Be sure to learn about 2017 benefit changes prior to making your enrollment choices.
