Chevron's U.S. Relocation program is designed to assist you with the steps
you
must take and the major expenses of relocating to a new work location, and to
help make the move as smooth as possible for you and your family. This Web site
provides you with important information to help you make important decisions and
to guide you through the relocation process.
Getting Started/Initiating Your Move
You are about to register for Chevron Corporation relocation benefits. It is important to note that not all career or job postings qualify for a company-sponsored relocation. Please ensure that before you register, you have confirmed with your Chevron recruiter, HR business partner or hiring manager that relocation benefits are provided as part of the job transfer and hired position.
If relocation benefits are offered, you should register:
- After you have accepted the transfer and position with Chevron.
- After you have completed all appropriate documentation as instructed in your offer or assignment letter.
- No sooner than 90 days prior to your payroll transfer or start date.
What to Expect from GMAC GRS
GMAC Global Relocation Services (GMAC GRS)
administers Chevron's relocation programs. To begin the relocation process, complete the
online
Chevron Relocation Program Authorization form.
Your request will be sent to Human Resources for approval. A GMAC GRS consultant will contact you within 24 hours of receiving approval.
Your relocation consultant will review program features and participation rules with you, will review your and your family’s needs, and will go over the relocation arrangements that will apply in your situation. If you will be making the move with family, we encourage your spouse/domestic partner or other key family members to participate in these discussions to obtain a better understanding of the process.
Here are just some of the many things your relocation consultant can help you with:
-
They can help you understand the services and features offered through the program, as well as the eligibility and participation rules for each.
- They can help you market and sell your current home.
- They can help you find and purchase a home or locate a rental unit in your new work location.
- They can help you plan and coordinate the logistics and expenses for your move.
- They can help you manage your lump sum to ensure that you have enough money to cover your relocation expenses.
