U.S.-Payroll Expatriates on a Residential Assignment

Please note some of the changes described here may not apply to you while on expatriate assignment. However, you'll have the option to participate in these plans when you repatriate to the United States, so that's why it's important for you to know about the changes. 2017 Global Choice Plan changes for U.S.-payroll resident expatriates are now available here.

As recently announced changes are coming to your Chevron medical, dental, wellness, disability, vacation and retiree benefit offerings effective January 1, 2017. We'll also introduce two new voluntary benefits. Detailed information about benefit plan changes that take effect on January 1, 2017 were mailed to you in September and are also posted on this website. Open enrollment for 2017 benefits ended on October 28, 2016.

Open enrollment is coming October 17 through October 28, 2016.

Open enrollment is your annual opportunity to review your health benefits for the coming year. During open enrollment you can start or stop medical or dental coverage and add or remove an eligible dependent from coverage. If you miss the open enrollment deadline, you generally can't make any changes until the next open enrollment period. However, you can make changes to certain benefits outside of the open enrollment period if it's within the 31-day deadline after a qualifying life event, such as a marriage or birth. If you don't need to make a change to your health benefits, you don't have to do anything.
